Frankincense and Mom and Cancer

Map of OmanThe gift of Frankincense given by the wise men to the baby Jesus probably came across the deserts from Oman. Where is Oman? It is next to Saudi Arabia. I wonder why the wise men gave this gift? Could it be to keep Jesus and parents natural healthy like God? Frankincense was given: for a God.

American scientist are trying to figure it out why frankincense is working to kill cancer cells. Working with frankincense could revolutionize the treatment of cancer. Currently, with chemotherapy, doctors blast the area around a tumor to kill the cancer, but that also kills healthy cells, and weakens the patient. Treatment with frankincense could eradicate the cancerous cells alone and let the others live.

Frankincense oil is linked to the psyche, which in Greek also means "breathing". It deepens and revitalizes the breath and adds to these effects its excellent immunostimulant properties. In skin care, frankincense oil reveals its balsamic nature through its miraculous wound healing properties. Astringent and anti-inflammatory, it is traditionally used to treat scar tissue and skin ulcers, and nourishes dry and prematurely aging skin. Its anti-depressant, euphoric qualities are used in psycho-aromatherapy to treat anxiety & nervous tension.

My mother has been fighting cancer for 2 years. She is 76 years old. Her cancer started in the breast and spread to her bones. Today was her first day to try the frankincense. My thinking is to bring her any kind of comfort. She is sick to her stomach, eating less every day and has a tremendous amount of pain. Horrible suffering of pain and anxiety every minute in 24 hours. We give her medication to keep her comfortable as much as can be. She still suffers, when the pain creeps in or when she walks with her walker. Watching my mother slowly die is hard on my emotions.  She does need 24 hour care. We take cat naps between her care needs.

My mother is trying the frankincense. She has a routine and does not like change. But she has nothing to lose at this time of her life. Just maybe it will give her comfort.  I will be trying a baby monitor tonight.

My blog writing doesn't happen as often, I am helping mom more. I live 2 hours away from her. I come on the weekend to her home and help my brother. My brother is her full time caregiver. During the week, I work as a registered nurse Monday thru Friday. When I am not working as a nurse, I do my eBay store.  I appreciate my husband, my dogs, my boys, my grandboys, my friends, my customers and life.
Darling bears -They would brighten up a bathroom!! The bears are at Vicky's Place Collectible Art Curio eBay store-- You can enter the store at the top of the blog.
